Linda Kasonde, from Zambia, is a lawyer and a civil society activist. She is the first woman to be elected as President of the Law Association of Zambia in the history of the Bar Association in Zambia. Through her role as president of the Law Association of Zambia, Kasonde became the chairperson of the Oasis Forum, a coalition advancing the cause of human rights, good governance and social justice in Zambia. In 2014, she became the first female partner of the internationally recognized law firm of Mulenga Mundashi Kasonde Legal Practitioners.
