When Paula came to see me, I was really impressed with how well her incisions have healed. One of the big concerns people have about undergoing facial plastic surgeries is how well their incisions will heal. There are a couple of different ways that the incisions can be designed, and I customize it to each individual’s ear. In Paula’s case, I decided to use a post tragal approach. The tragus is this part of the ear, the little cartilage that sticks out. And I felt that her ears were a good candidate to go behind the tragus. Even behind her ear, which nobody will ever see, the incisions are so good that a hairdresser would have a hard time telling that she’s had surgery. Our goal was to achieve the most natural outcome possible.
