The Smile Tapes are a series of broadcasts and found footage set in the 90s surrounding an epidemic of increasingly dangerous behavior that seems to stem from a drug (named Smile) that is composed of an unidentified fungus. As the death toll rises scientists struggle to find the origin of the drug, understand the symptoms, and perhaps find a cure for the mounting population of infected citizens. But it may all be much much too late...
