4K | 20 MINUTES of POLDERBAAN Action at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol [EHAM/AMS]

Another compilation of planes landing and taking off, this time from the famous 'Polderbaan' at Amsterdam.

Opened in 2003, the 3800 meter runway is the newest, longest and by distance the farthest runway at Amsterdam Airport.
Taxiing to and from the Polderbaan (18R inbound, 36R outbound) can take up to 15 minutes when runway 18C/36C is open.

The runway is so far away from Amsterdam Airport itself that it has it's own ATC tower, called 'Tower West'.

During the weekends, the dedicated spotting place and parking area are full of spotters and tourists wanting to catch the action the Polderbaan has to offer.


Amsterdam is known for it's busy routes and exotic airplane movement, which includes planes like the Boeing 747, Boeing 757, Boeing 767, Boeing 777 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. We also see a lot of Airbus A380, Airbus A350, Airbus A330, Airbus A300 and the short haul A320 Neo and it's brothers and sisters.
