In this week’s What to Know, UTSW musculoskeletal specialists Kavita Trivedi, D.O., and Jay Shah, M.D., discuss the trends, trouble spots, and treatment options.

Dr. Kavita Trivedi, spine specialist
Kavita A. Trivedi, D.O., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and a specialist in the nonsurgical treatment of spine and other types of musculoskeletal pain. She is also the Associate Medical Director of UTSW’s Multidisciplinary Spine Center.

Dr. Jay Shah, orthopaedic surgeon
Jay P. Shah, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery who specializes in complex issues of the knee and shoulder at UTSW’s Sports Medicine Clinic in Richardson/Plano. He has also served as an assistant team doctor for four Houston sports teams: the Texans, Rockets, Astros, and Dynamo.
