1968 at Bathurst was another year of firsts. The Holden HK Monaro made it's first appearance, along with advertising on cars. 25 year old Allan Grice first raced at Bathurst in 1968, finishing a creditable 18th with Bill Tuckey in the #26 Fiat 124 Sport. But it was privateer Bruce McPhee with Barry Mulholland driving the #13 Wyong Motors Monaro GTS327 that beat both factory teams and all opposition that day. Great Aussie racing!
