Here we have some vintage film of the 2nd Armored Division commanded by George Patton rolling across France following the D Day invasion in Normandy France in June of 1944. Not any action in this clip but some interesting footage of Sherman tanks being retrofitted with "tusks" made out of steel scavanged from the German defences. They were nicknamed Rhino tanks and were needed to burst through the thick hedges they covered the region.

The music are public domain recordings. The Battle Hymn Of The Republic is by the Army Band and Yankee Doodle is performed by the US Navy Band.
