About this video-

RMIM Puraskaar is a volunteers-driven effort to honor and document better works of Hindi Film Music (HFM). These awards have been announced annually since year 2006, making it one of the oldest running exclusively-HFM exercise.

The Puraskaar borrows its name from Usenet group rec.music.indian.misc, the oldest community of HFM lovers on the net. These awards intend to voice the opinion of HFM listeners from all over the Internet.

The primary aim of the Puraskaars is to put listeners on the seat of decision and to honor the better works by a collective and informed analysis. At the same time, we want to make a note of all works of significance. More than to award a particular artist, album, or song, the larger idea is to have a review of the year's music and document it for posterity.
