There are a couple of possible causes.

One is that your drain line could be clogged. Check your drain line and see if it is operating properly.

If the drain line isn't the problem, you probably need to clean your condenser coils. Dirty coils make the unit work harder and the unit can break down. condenser coils are located in the exterior ground unit.

You can create your own coil solution by mixing distilled water and dish soap in a spray bottle. Spray that on your fins and coils, wait a few minutes and rinse with a hose.

This Coil cleaner spray from Web is a foam solution that you spray on the fins of your condenser.

Remove any guards on your condser.

Shake the can vigorously.

Spray the foam liberally to cover every single fin that is over your condenser coils.

Wait several minutes for the foam to penetrate the grime.

Rinse with a hose on a shower setting, don't blast it with the strongest spray because the fins could be damaged.

IMPORTANT: Let the coils dry for at least 24 hours before you turn on your mini split.



The manufacturer of the spray recommends cleaning your condenser coils twice a year in the Spring and Fall.
