Much like the South-East of London, the Northern portion of the city also has several rings of change ringing towers. One of these follows the rough boundary of Zone 6, the outermost zone that exists in every corner of London. At the topmost part of this ring is Enfield. Enfield, a town of Greater London, is a bustling shopping area with a market place, shopping centre and high street, plenty of amenities can be found here. It is accessible via 2 stations: Enfield Town, served by London Overground with services to London Liverpool Street, is at the shopping end of the town, and the best station for St Andrews church. To the west is Enfield Chase. This station is in the suburban part of the town, and is the station that is most used for commuting. It provides regular Great Northern services to/from Moorgate, Welwyn Garden City, Hertford North amongst other places.

St Andrew's Church is at the shopping end of Enfield, however it's only a 10 minute walk from Enfield Chase. It is tucked away behind the market place. Despite its fairly tall tower, it can't actually be spotted when walking to it, thanks to the high rise buildings nearby. St Andrew's tower houses a somewhat heavy ring of 8. Coming in at 20cwt on the scales and tuned to E, it's no wonder why the bells have some tonal quirks to them! Furthermore, the bells are a mixed bag of 1724 Richard Phelps, 1808 Thomas Mears, 1886 John Warner's and 1892 Mears & Stainbank. They are certainly no mean feet, requiring a lot of effort to keep them up, especially the 7. All made for quite an interesting ringing experience here.

The video was recorded on Sunday 4th December, where a 1260 of Grandsire Triples was rung for Enfields Christmas Fayre celebrations outside the church. The bell ringers were given credit on the flyer sheet! This video shows all 8 bells ringing down in peal once the quarter had ended.
