On the morning of January 15, 2020, Robinson received a call from "Crazy K" asking for a ride. Unaware of the severity of the situation, he picked up Scotty and Butta after they had taken a white woman hostage during their escape. Robinson explained how he switched cars with them, took their clothes to destroy evidence, and dropped them off safely before leaving.

Despite the chaos, Robinson expressed conflicted feelings—while upset about Lil Buck’s death, he refused to urge his son and others to turn themselves in. He also cautioned Ksoo about social media posts that could harm their case but admitted his warnings were ignored.
