But, my written response here is mainly towards the media & celeb news that's attacked Johnny for something most of us all go through. I had a few questions about it from some of you across the channel, which is totally fine. It's okay to be curious. The media is who's being awful about it. I don't really want to call it 'news,' as he only had dental work like many do at some point. It looks great & he looked great before too. ♥️ He's underwent dental work over most of his career, starting with a little work for his Edward Scissorhands character. Then, the most invasive Captain Jack Sparrow's gold/platinum teeth, as well as the tough job of getting those pirate veneers off. I also wanted to post this comment to you all so my intentions don't get taken the wrong way. 2 years ago people/news were being cruel about it & they sounded ridiculous. Mainly TMZ & click-bait celebrity type news channels were doing it, & still are now. This could be something that makes a person feel better mentally and/or physically. It's a brave & kind thing to do for yourself. Apparently the media can't find relevant things to report about so they gossip. I didn't see anything wrong with his smile before, now, or ever for that matter. He does look gorgeous with his smile, & comfortable. So that's what is most important. I don't make content critiquing & never will. Thanks everyone.

• He's known for going the extra mile for his characters. From Edward Scissorhands to Willy Wonka, to The Madd Hatter, to Pirates 5, Johnny's had his teeth shaped & manipulated for over 3 decades. He's underwent a lot of character dental work for movies over his career. He even had a little work done as far back as Edward Scissorhands.
The gold & platinum veneers installed for his Captain Jack role turned out to be the most invasive.
He had a few issues when getting the veneers removed. The dentist had to resort to rather 'intense' methods.
“They bond these things onto my own choppers and the process of taking them off can be tough. Sometimes it just comes off, shoots off and other times you have to really address the issue more intensely." Johnny said. He did happily keep a few surviving 'pirate teeth' throughout the years.
