IRM Diesel Days 2024: Four Stroke Friday

Diesel Days is here at last!

Not long after our last visit to IRM for Vintage Transport, we return yet again for this year's annual Diesel Days event! This year we go back to the themed days like in 2019 as Friday was dubbed "Four Stroke Friday" in reference to the engines running today being primarily GE and ALCO products that were running today. In addition to the chugs of these GEs and ALCOs, we'll also take a look at some of the engines sitting on the sidelines waiting for their turn on the main this weekend as well as two of the throttle time sessions that didn't have a GE or ALCO unit. Today was a fun day and was a first for a few things like USAX 8537 leading her first train since she was repainted, all in all, a really fun first day of Diesel Days. Enjoy!
