Angelina Mojica, Founder of Empower HER Steps Title: Certified Family Life Educator, Life Coach and Consultant

BIO: Angelina Mojica, born and raised in Lubbock, TX., with a vision is to see families thrive through the support of their community. She is passionate about serving her community and desires to see parents, children, and individuals succeed in reaching their life goals. Angelina is an advocate for positive-growth and development among those who seek to elevate their life situations.

She understands that a foundation for life success first starts in the mind of the individual and is further developed through community support and resources offered to keep a family thriving and children safe and secure. Angelina’s education and skills are grounded in psychology and clinical mental health counseling theologies, graduating from Lubbock Christian University with a master’s in science of human services and a bachelor’s in psychology from Argosy University. Angelina has worked in child welfare services through several capacities for the past 10 years.

Angelina is a Certified Family Life Educator through the National Council on Family Relations, a Licensed Child Placement Agency Administrator, and currently serving her community as the Director for Saint Francis Ministries Foster Care Homes Program in Lubbock and Amarillo since September 2022. Prior to her leadership at Saint Francis, Angelina led the Buckner Family Hope Center of Lubbock at the start of March 2019, the first in the West Texas area. In 2021 Angelina was a candidate who ran in the local elections for the Lubbock Independent School Board At Large Position. Since then, she has also completed the Leadership Academy Program through LISD in 2023. In October of 2022 Angelina launched the non-profit Empower H.E.R Steps with a vision to bring the women in her community together under one accord to support, guide, inspire, motivate, educate, and empower women and young ladies to become the best version of themselves, which will improve the quality of their relationships, finances, career, and self-care thus, creating a life of their own design.

Angelina is also a mother of three children, two of whom are now young adults and one preparing to graduate from Coronado High School next year. She also has two precious grand babies whom she adores and loves. She has navigated many challenges in life, the workplace, and in her community and does so with a positive mindset and an optimistic heart
