I can just imagine a doomsday prepper getting ready for Year 2000 with a couple cases of these Meals Ready to Eat. The MilSpec ration was produced by Wornick over two decades ago for the commercial market. They contain the same components you will encounter with a US Military MRE but the overall size of the meal kit is smaller. Coming from 1999, it's pretty mind blowing how fresh this beef stew emergency food pack was. These are still as good as any civilian MRE we have today.
