Cannabis Under High Magnification!

Trichomes contain the desirable cannabinoids responsible for the psychoactive and medicinal effects of cannabis. The tiny resin glands swell as the flower develops before harvest. Seen here is a maturing cannabis flower under high magnification.

Video is created by combining tens of thousands of still images to create an optical composite in complete focus. A mirrorless DSLR with a microscope lens is moved on a z axis to create a sequence of stills at varying points of focus. These stills are combined into a macro image with a wide depth of field. Those images are then composited into a video.
