🇮🇹 La Lancia Hyena Zagato si basa sul progetto della Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v Evo in stile coupé firmato Zagato e commissionata dall’importatore ufficiale Lancia in Olanda Paul Koot, che appunto voleva questo tipo di auto nel 1992 come la prima coupé a trazione integrale.
Rispetto alla Delta EVOLUZIONE, il motore fu portato a 250 cv, alleggerita di 200 kg grazie all’utilizzo di alluminio per la carrozzeria e fibra di carbonio per interni e plancia, con solo due posti dove il passo veniva accorciato a meno di 2,5 metri per essere agilissima.
La Lancia Hyena coniugava le nuove forme tondeggianti, con la classica firma di Zagato con le due gobbe sul tetto, mantenendo lo stile di forza del Deltone, il logo Lancia e la sigla HF sulla calandra; risultando essere una perfetta espressione di coupé sportiva all’avanguardia.
Paolo Cantarella Amministratore Delegato del Gruppo Fiat immaginava Lancia solo come un Brand di auto di lusso preferendo alla Hyena lo sviluppo della Lancia Kappa Coupé. Qualche tempo più tardi il famoso designer Walter de Silva a capo dello stile del Gruppo Fiat e supervisore del progetto Hyena (papà delle Alfa GTV, Spider, 145, 146, 147, 155, 156 e 166) passa al Gruppo Volkswagen e, con Peter Schreyer, nasce nel 1998 l’Audi TT ovvero la prima coupé tondeggiante a trazione integrale di massa.

🇬🇧 The Lancia Hyena Zagato is based on the coupé-style Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v Evo designed by Zagato and commissioned by the official Lancia importer in Holland Paul Koot, who wanted this type of car in 1992 as the first all-wheel drive coupe.
Compared to the Delta EVOLUTION, the engine was raised to 250 hp, lightened by 200 kg thanks to the use of aluminum for the bodywork and carbon fiber for the interior and dashboard, with only two seats where the wheelbase was shortened to less than 2.5 meters to be very agile.
The Lancia Hyena combined the new rounded shapes, with the classic Zagato signature with the two humps on the roof, maintaining the strong style of the Deltone, the Lancia logo and the initials HF on the grille; turning out to be a perfect expression of a cutting-edge sports coupe.
Paolo Cantarella, CEO of the Fiat Group, imagined Lancia only as a luxury car brand, preferring the development of the Lancia Kappa Coupé to Hyena. En comparación con el Delta EVOLUTION, el motor se elevó a 250 CV, aligerado en 200 kg gracias al uso de aluminio para la carrocería y fibra de carbono para el interior y el salpicadero, con solo dos asientos donde la distancia entre ejes se redujo a menos de 2,5 metros para ser muy ágil.
El Lancia Hyena combinó las nuevas formas redondeadas, con la clásica firma Zagato con las dos jorobas en el techo, manteniendo el estilo fuerte del Deltone, el logo de Lancia y las iniciales HF en la parrilla; resultando ser una expresión perfecta de un coupé deportivo de vanguardia.
Paolo Cantarella, consejero delegado del Grupo Fiat, imaginó a Lancia solo como una marca de coches de lujo, prefiriendo el desarrollo del Lancia Kappa Coupé a Hyena.
