SM57 Shootout - $10 Knockoff, $100 Stock, and $200 Funkenwerk

Today we shootout the Pyle PDMIC78, the stock Shure SM57 and the TAB Funkenwerk T58 transformer upgraded 57.

And instead of doing just guitar amps, I wanted to really show what the mic can do on other sources such as drum overhead and bass guitar cab.

I think the overhead example and guitar examples are very telling of the difference of the three microphones. The overhead example really shows how the Pyle PDMIC78 sounds on the high frequencies, while the guitar example really shows the middle frequencies of the stock and Funkenwerk microphones.
