This video is about the camshaft position sensor and how it effects engine performance on acceleration and start up. I show how to replace the sensor, describe what it does, check for symptoms of a failing or poor sensor and I share my experience with changing it.

The main symptom of a failing camshaft position sensor is weak or poor car performance noticeable on acceleration and start-up.

The video applies to many Mercedes-Benz including: R129 SL (300 SL, 320 SL, 500 SL) years 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995) and W124, W140, W202, including models 300E, 500E, E320, S500 and C220.
