How to paint fur in acrylics | Step by step Spaniel ear tutorial

A step by step tutorial showing how to paint realistic fur and a Spaniel ear in acrylics. Longer fur that overlaps like found on Spaniel ears can be challenging but with the light layering process it becomes easier to tackle. Painting fur in acrylics relies on a couple of factors. Good contrast and subtle layers are my main focus. I find this helps to build up more depth and realism in the finished pet portrait.
