অধ্যাপক ড. সিরাজুল ইসলাম চৌধুরী (জন্ম ২৩ জুন ১৯৩৬) একজন বাংলাদেশী লেখক, প্রাবন্ধিক ও শিক্ষক। বাকস্বাধীনতা, মানবিক অধিকার, পরিবেশ সুরক্ষা, দুর্নীতি প্রতিরোধ এবং সামাজিক ন্যায়বিচার বিষয়ক আন্দোলনের পুরোধা। দীর্ঘকাল তিনি ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ইংরেজি ভাষা ও সাহিত্য বিভাগে অধ্যাপনা করেছেন। স্বাধীনতা-উত্তর বাংলা প্রবন্ধ সাহিত্য যাদের নিরলস অবদানে সমৃদ্ধ তিনি তাদের অন্যতম। তিনি মার্কসবাদী চিন্তা-চেতনায় উদ্বুদ্ধ, প্রগতিশীল ও মুক্তমনা। নতুন দিগন্ত পত্রিকার প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সম্পাদক। ১৯৮০-এর দশকে "গাছপাথর" ছদ্মনামে তিনি দৈনিক সংবাদ পত্রিকায় সামাজিক ও রাজনৈতিক বিষয়ে সাপ্তাহিক প্রতিবেদন লিখে খ্যাতি অর্জন করেন। শিক্ষায় অবদানের জন্য তিনি ১৯৯৬ সালে বাংলাদেশ সরকার কর্তৃক প্রদত্ত দ্বিতীয় সর্বোচ্চ বেসামরিক সম্মাননা একুশে পদকে ভূষিত হন।
