【Starry】Wake Up, Challenger!!【踊ってみた】- Dance Cover

Greetings, Strikers!
Today is my birthday, so I thought I'd post something really cool~ ^w^

This video is SUPER special, for a few reasons!
First of all, I started learning this choreography back in 2022--as this was one of my dream choreos that I really wanted to be sure I got to perform one day! But that year was...I don't know how to describe it. I was just experiencing a lot of odottemita burnout and overload that year, somehow...and I never got around to filming this. So this year, during my visit to the USA in the spring, I was determined to get to create this video! Getting to have this great location on this cute little town square was such a dream come true--it was so worth it!

About this location: it was a bit spontaneous, as my friend Faith discovered it by chance as she was taking a random drive one day. She mentioned to me that it would be perfect for my shooting, and boy, was she right! I'll be honest, it was hot in that leather jacket with the full sun! But, eh, that's part of being an odorite, isn't it? xD
But if that wasn't enough, Faith even agreed to join me on the shooting day and help me with some of the camera work, which was also an absolute dream come true! I am almost always alone during my shootings--which is all right, but I've always wanted active camera shots, as I feel that they bring something very dynamic to a dance cover that just can't be achieved any other way. Having Faith there to help me create a couple of these dynamic shots was just the most incredible thing ever, and yes--the next time I visit the USA, I hope very much that we can work together again! This was our very first time trying it and we were just so happy with the results!

Faith and I have been friends since we were eleven years old. She has been my biggest supporter ever since the very beginning, and I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you so much for everything, Faith, and here's to many, many more years of friendship!

About halfway through this shooting, a huge taco truck pulled up DIRECTLY behind our camera setup, which was a little awkward, since their electricity generator was super loud. Thankfully, I was still able to hear the music and they didn't shoo us away or even shoot nasty looks our way--so since they were so nice, we went over after we were finished and bought drinks and tacos from them~ They were really friendly guys!
Also, a couple of curious shop owners appeared and asked us to come over and tell them all about what we were doing xD They were also very sweet, interested, and understanding! One of the things I love about odottemita is that it always makes people smile, no matter where~

And I hope that this video makes you smile, as much as it makes me smile when I think back on this amazing day!
Together, we can do anything...
