I replaced the mic capsule in an MXL 770. To demonstrate the change, I recorded the same tune before and after the mod (along with the Shure SM81 and Warm Audio WA-47Jr for comparison). I'm just an hobbyist musician who doesn't know anything about building microphones. This could only go well, right?
