A song about a brief encounter my friend, Danny Marshall and I had, with a troubled young gentleman on the side of the road in Adelaide. He, or at least his girlfriend, lived next door to friends of Danny's and he approached us asking had we seen anyone come out of her/their house.

He revealed that he was looking for his girlfriend and feared she was having an affair. He shared with us that he'd bought her a $700 red dress that she'd worn to the races that day, he'd followed her to the races but apparently lost her in the crowd.

We learned the following evening that after speaking with us, he'd gone back inside his house, waited for her to come home, strangled her to death, then thrown himself in front of a tram!
