What I’ve been doing….a 2 foot layout!

Inspired by some box file layouts and my love of the small project I’ve built this LNER based micro in just over a week, mostly scratched but with a few left over off the shelf things.
So now I’m in the north east of England, not far from the town of Wooler, with rolling vistas of crop filled fields and a dirty old fuels ⛽️ yard run by a family named ‘Turck’, who supply the locals with coal and diesel. There’s a corner shop and not much else apart from a few terraced cottages and a scattering of farms. It’s always breezy and the sound of the cockerel does tend to travel!

A pleasant hour was spent at the East Lancashire Railway on Saturday, which was the Autumnal diesel gala, plenty of fifty and sixty somethings, and plenty of youngsters too. A fine sight in the sunshine.
