Excerpt of an interview given by Bud Abbott of the comedy team of Abbott and Costello to film historian Tony Thomas. It had been just months before that Bud had been audited by the Internal Revenue Service, as part of a long list of celebrities that were targeted. The end result was that many of his deductions over a period of eight years were rejected, and Bud was landed a bill of over $500,000. Here, he tells his story.

Photo is not of Thomas interviewing Bud, but of Frank Day on KDES radio in Palm Springs, about a month after the Thomas interview was conducted. Sadly, the Day interview is thought to be lost.
