Following the turmoil caused by the Yellow Turban Rebellion and Dong Zhuo’s tyranny, a famous warlord, Cao Cao, seized the opportunity to consolidate his forces in the Central Plains and plans to expand his forces South and West to unite the land. Ma Chao’s father, Ma Teng, died trying to curb Cao Cao’s ambition, and in response, Ma Chao seeks revenge by allying with the various lords of Guan Zhong to attack Cao Cao.
