About every 4 years, Vancouver Island experiences an arctic blast! While this can be a major annoyance for most people, for idiots like us, it's a golden opportunity.

We go on the search for frozen waterfalls but bite off more than we can chew at 'Weiner Falls'? With my camera bag reaching terminal velocity, it's a good thing we brought microspikes to grip that treacherous ice.

Grumpton does his usual 'shot sharking' while Colin tells me to ''Spiddonit''. When the spray from the falls freezes upon contact, It's a race to see which tool will seize up first - the camera, the tripod, or me?

After struggling under the ice for my first couple of shots, I eventually bag some beauties that might even be 'book-worthy'.

Will Colin survive our critique of his ICM landscape photography and how many juvenile 'Weiner' jokes can we make before we get in trouble?
