Oa Majha Katta: पावसाचा अंदाज व्यक्त करण्यासाठी राज्यात प्रसिद्ध झालेले पंजाबराव डख यांनी आपल्या अंदाज कशाच्या आधारावर व्यक्त करतो, याबाबत भाष्य केले आहे. निसर्गाचा अभ्यास, भवतालच्या नैसर्गिक स्थिती यावरून पावसाचा अंदाज व्यक्त करत असल्याचे पंजाबराव डख यांनी म्हटले. एबीपी माझाच्या 'माझा कट्टा' या कार्यक्रमात त्यांनी अनेक प्रश्नांना उत्तरे दिली.
पंजाबराव डख यांनी म्हटले की, 1995 च्या सुमारास वडिलांसोबत टीव्ही पाहायचो. टीव्हीवरील बातम्या आम्ही आवर्जून पाहायचो. या बातमीपत्राच्या शेवटी हवामान अंदाज सांगितला जायचा. त्यानुसार शेती आम्ही करायचो. पण वृत्तवाहिनीवरील हवामानाचे अंदाज बऱ्याचदा चुकायचे. त्यामुळे आमचे नुकसान होत असे. 2004 ला शेतकऱ्यांची वाईट स्थिती होती. हवामानाचा अंदाज अचूक येत नसल्याने शेतकऱ्यांना फटका बसत होता, असेही त्यांनी सांगितले.

त्यावेळी असणाऱ्या मोबाईल, इंटरनेटच्या मर्यादा लक्षात घेता अनेकांपर्यंत हवामान अंदाज पोहचवणे थोडं कठीण होते. त्यावेळी एसएमएसच्या आधारे पावसाचा अंदाज शेतकऱ्यांपर्यंत पोहचवला जात असेही त्यांनी सांगितले. अॅण्ड्राईड फोन, टेलिकॉम कंपन्यांमधील स्पर्धेमुळे इंटरनेट स्वस्त झाला. त्याचा मोठा फायदा झाला असल्याचे डख यांनी सांगितले. व्हॉटस अॅपवर राज्यातील विभागनिहाय-क्षेत्रानुसार व्हॉट्स अॅप ग्रुप तयार केले. त्या माध्यमातून संबंधित भागात पाऊस होणार की नाही, याचा अंदाज वर्तवू लागलो. याचा फायदा अनेक शेतकऱ्यांना झाला असल्याचे दावा डख यांनी केला.
