A real-time, 8-hour unpaused session of The Sims 4. No commentary, just ambient sims world noises and the sounds of daily Sim chaos unfolding naturally. This video is meant to give you some background noised to put on in the background while you fall asleep, study, work, clean, or even some company for your pet's while you're out. It’s soft, ambient, and slow. The perfect passive companion for a calm environment.

What is the Autonomous Legacy Challenge?
I placed a bunch of random townies into one big household. The house was built by me, inspired by the open dollhouse style popularized by @DrGluon. All Sims are pansexual and polyamorous, and can both get pregnant and impregnate. There’s no storyline or forced pairings. With the help of some mods, sims are free to build relationships, get pregnant, and pursue hobbies autonomously.

Did I intervene?
Just a little. Enough to keep things running smoothly. I fixed anything they couldn’t repair themselves, reset them if they got stuck, periodically set up club activities and moved finished paintings and craftables off easels and workbenches so they could keep creating. Otherwise, I let them live their lives unpaused and unscripted!

What happens next?
Any babies born in this video will continue the legacy in future episodes.
