Our Immersive Afternoon with Dr. Nadine Burke Harris was the first day of a 2-day event held in September 2018, entitled “Making Scotland the First ACE-Aware Nation in the World”. Over the two days, a total of almost 2500 people joined together to begin exploring how it might be possible to bring this vision into reality.

In this video, we hear the interview with Dr. Nadine Burke Harris conducted by chair Gary Robinson of GRC Communications. The conversation explores a range of themes, including how she came to this work, what inspires her to keep going, and what is like to lead change as a woman. Dr. Burke Harris ended with her thoughts on the two things that we can all do to ensure the ACEs Movement continues to be effective in Scotland. “First, continue to shout about it from the rooftops. Raise awareness. Knowledge is power. We don’t know who we are inspiring. Second, move from awareness to action. Remember that those actions can be big or small. You just have to do your piece.”
