Soldering Jewelry - Sweat, Flush, or Applique Soldering

Описание к видео Soldering Jewelry - Sweat, Flush, or Applique Soldering

Expand your soldering repertoire, add dimension and interest to your work with sweat/applique soldering. Also covered, briefly, in this video, is a form of metal inlay that involves piercing, sweat soldering and the use of the rolling mill. What we didn't show you: I tried an experiment using (easy) paste solder (as an inlay material) in a pierced piece. It didn't work very well. I think it was a combination of the easy solder, with its high zinc content, and a bit too much heat. This caused an "erosion" or alloying of the parent material (the copper). Also: a lot of the solder paste melted and oozed out, from all sides. I used (what I thought was) very little of the paste.
