Steve McQueen had long felt a strong connection to Tom Horn, the enigmatic loner "crushed between two civilizations." He eventually played Horn in his second to the last film, and we may never know for sure who killed Willie Nickell, but McQueen's poignant performance (and Hᴜrᴡitᴢ'ѕ beautiful ballad) make us want to believe that it wasn't Horn.
