Hey guys, for this weekend, I thought of a fun idea.

Let me show you guys what a failed attempt at learning a character looks like, as I try (and fail) to clear a 5-star Chaos stage with three of my most hated characters in the entire game.

Huang Gai: So I tried 2 things with Huang Gai:
First, I tried playing him like a Trap Setter, using his C1 bomb like a C1 Orb and wait for a crowd to approach, and as you could see, it was unsuccessful. The whole idea behind the Trap-Setter playstyle is to fight WHILE your C1 explodes, not AFTER it explodes, because the opening it creates will be gone by then. But you obviously cannot fight alongside Huang Gai's explosion because it also hurts you, which is the stupidest thing ever, honestly.
The second thing I tried was to abuse the power of Survival Guide: explode myself in red health for ATKx2, and spam my musou against an officer in a crowd. This method was much more successful, but has two major drawbacks: (1) Fighting at 1HP means a sneeze from an enemy can kill you. I was lucky this time with the archers, but to consistently outrun arrows and big crowds, I have to invest in some SPD stat in my next attempt. (2) Huang Gai's true musou ending is so terrible. All that jazz with the multiple bombs, but he leaves the space right in front of him empty? Absolutely ridiculous design choice. Whoever from KOEI thought of that should be fired.

Xiahou Yuan: +SPD 40 makes his C1 much safer, and somewhat viable on Chaos without an escape move like Huang Zhong's jump charge. HOWEVER, his musou damage still sucks, and he takes ages to kill a single officer, which means more time to make a mistake with his playstyle. Also, like ZGL and Huang Zhong, he's quite weak against other archers.

Diao Chan: Out of these three characters, I have the most hope for Diao Chan. With a short musou bar and a heavy weapon setup with ATK, CHARGE, FILL exactly like Taishi Ci, she can be a jump charge filler and musou spammer. Though her base musou damage is relatively weak, her True Musou ending is very safe, meaning she can get in to red health like Pang Tong and continuously spam her True Musou to kill an officer. A very tedious playstyle, but I can see it working well enough to at least put her in the lower end of mid tier. For my next attempt, I'll make a note to be more discerning with my jump charge so that it doesn't miss RIGHT as an officer was about to dash.
