On June 9, 1989, Bruce made a surprise appearance Saturday morning at The Stone Pony, Asbury Park. Nils Lolgren, a member of Springsteen’s E Street Band, was performing a scheduled show with his solo band, the Now Keys, when The Boss jumped onstage for a jam session which lasted about 45 minutes.
