How it all started:

**A Scenic Adventure to Ratti Gali Lake**After a hectic and meaty Eid celebration, the plan was to enjoy the serene beauty of Kashmir. What unfolded was an adventurous, thrilling, and challenging journey that will be remembered for a lifetime. Our journey to Ratti Gali Lake began from Islamabad, embarking on a road trip to Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir. The road trip was scenic, winding through lush forests and along picturesque rivers. It took us over seven hours to reach Muzaffarabad, traveling through the night. Exhausted from the journey, we set up our camp at Dowarian, the base camp for the trek to Ratti Gali Lake, and managed to get a few hours of sound sleep.

After few hours of sound sleep, we started our bumpy ride on Jeep from Dowarian to Ratti Gali Lake. The trek, approximately 19 kilometers, proved to be challenging due to the steep and rugged terrain. We navigated through dense forests, alpine meadows, and rocky paths, all the while marveling at the breathtaking scenery and learning about the local flora and fauna.
As we neared the Ratti Gali base, the adventure took an unexpected turn. Just 2 kilometers from the base, the road was blocked by a glacier, and a crane machine was diligently working to clear the path. This added an extra layer of excitement to our journey, making the accomplishment of reaching the lake even more rewarding.
