Описание к видео Battlefield 6 Reveal Conquest

Part 2 of my initial impressions of Battlefield 6. With classes I think Engineer, Support, and Recon are okay in most ways but I don't see a team play or squad play aspect of Assault or what they bring that the other three classes are missing. Grenade launchers are not enough to define a class unless their goal is to add a bunch of smaller archetype classes like they had in Battlefield 2 although considering how combined the other ones are I kind of doubt that is the case. So Assault just seems out of place and one of those selfish playstyle additions to attract certain types of players. Same with Assault's perk or hero power "nearby enemies that are audible become revealed for the player, with kills prolonging the effect", just reminds me of that weird game mode from the original Homefront game where you got more powers the more kills you got, just felt more broken. I never even bothered using the Support ability because it didn't seem all that useful and Recon's ability sounds the most useful although it never worked for me when I tried it in Labs but it looked like it was working in this build although I'm not sure if it 3D or 2D spotted enemies. The player models for the classes seemed good and looked tacticool but I think they could have done a little more in making them look more unique for each class.

The weapon customization felt meh, the choices are obvious. Also I don't get what is going on with the sights, optics and their zoom levels or FOV differences. There is usually some majority carry over from the previous Battlefield game but they are all over the place with this one. The 3x scope in BF6 doesn't match the FOV or zoom level of the 3x in BF2042 or BFV but it does match the one in BF4 however other sights that don't match what they should in BF4 either. It's very weird and so are their sight choices. A lot less good sights available this time around for some reason and some weird focus on sights with zero zoom or 1x. ADS is still slow and they make you equip a foregrip to speed up ADS times, it's variable across the board so DICE really wants to screw with player's muscle memory and make the game uncomfortable to play. Having to stick a foregrip on a sniper rifle just looks ugly so thanks for that DICE.

The minimap zooming in and out on its own is beyond frustrating. I thought there was a setting related to it but it appears to be something else entirely so if we can't disable that it's like BF2042 again where the minimap becomes useless again ( because of fake 2d spots/red dots ).

Something else about graphical settings. Even with as much of the blur settings turned of in-game or down there are some blurs or depth of field things still on. Note the third person moments in the tank and everything becoming blurry for a few frames and riding on the chopper and the motion blur making the chopper blurry. Not a fan of that because it makes slow motion footage look like crap. Also not sure if I'm a fan of the art direction or color filters they are applying to give it the movie or Hollywood look ( like BF3 ). I tested doing some minor color correction and some of the maps looked quite a bit better, especially Liberation Peak ( blue filter map ).

I didn't include a bunch of clips because of the 720p issue with the footage but I included some to show some more of the other maps and certain other issues ( movement mechanics, desync, etc. ).

On the subject of the UI. It's not great or at least I found it to be frustrating or annoying at times. Although I know it can also be worse so it's not the end of everything. It's just odd that they keep going in strange directions with certain things like the UI. There are a lot of redundant menus and key or button bindings. There are quite a few features not currently included in the UI or in this build's UI but are still in the build itself meaning you can enable them in the settings file even if you can't turn them on in-game. The first person UI elements seemed unnecessarily cluttered or had a lot of screen real estate taken up for no other reason than to distract the player. I believe there was some offset to move the killfeed but I'm not sure if you can actually center it or if there is a legacy setting to have the kills show up in the middle like in previous Battlefield titles and not off to the left side.
