A Dance of Wolves

A study of wolf spiders (Pardosa sp) courtship dance that I videoed yesterday in Yorkshire, UK

I saw the male while I was just about to read a book on my back patio so I went to get the camera

Once I started looking properly I noticed there was actually two pairs of spiders. So the video is a compilation of the best moments from 1 hour I spent with these wonderful spiders

The male does these fantastic dances to try and woo the female spider into mating

Camera used was the Canon R5 a 36mm extension tube and the Canon 100mm f/2.8 L IS lens

Most of the clips are done in 4K HQ and the last 2 are in 4K 100fps
