On New Year's Eve, the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad revealed that Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad 2-6-6-2 #1309 was moving under her own power for the first time since 1956. On New Year's Day, the engine left the Ridgeley, West Virginia shop on it's first test run outside the shop gates.
