We have no plans to sell TikTok app: China's Bytedance

China's Bytedance says it has no plans to sell the TikTok app. CNBC's Julia Boorstin reports on "Closing Bell."

The Chinese social media firm has no plans to sell part or all of its app, the short video platform’s head said on Tuesday, denying a media report which said the company was currently weighing options to do so due to U.S. concerns.

A ByteDance spokeswoman declined to comment on the internal note but reiterated that there had “been no discussions about any partial or full sale of TikTok”. “These rumors are completely meritless,” she added.
