2022 Cyclocross Nationals | Hartford, CT | Vlog

What an incredible weekend. I rolled the dice on Saturday, having never raced a high level single speed race before and unsure of how it would leave me feeling heading into Sunday’s elite race. Let’s just say I have no regrets. It was an epic battle between Tobin and I and I am so excited to have walked away with the victory! Now to schedule some SS races in next year so I can wear my fancy jersey.

Then Sunday I toed the line for an epic afternoon of doing circles on a treacherously slippery and ever changing course. I din’t have a great first couple laps and lost touch with the leaders. I kept my head down though and stayed consistent. I moved up and up eventually finding myself in the battle for the final podium spot on the last lap. I pushed hard through the decisive, barely walkable off camber, and came out of it with a gap that I would hold to the line.

2 races 2 medals. I am happy and content. Thanks for everyone who showed up and yelled, everyone that tuned into the live stream, and anyone that paid any attention to CX Nats. Cross aint dead and this year was a testament to that. Cyclocross. For the love of mud.
