After a distinguished career as editor-in-chief of the China Times Book Reviews, Li Jin-lian made a bold leap into fiction with her 2023 short story collection, "Dark Road." In this work, she explores the universal theme of loneliness through seven compelling tales.

Having spent sixteen years at the helm of a prominent book review section, Li Jin-lian found herself questioning her own creative abilities amidst the changing media landscape. Her decision to leave her editorial position marked a turning point, as she returned to her first love: writing. Her debut novel, "Floating Records," was a critical success and paved the way for "Dark Road."

Li Jin-lian's keen observations of everyday life, coupled with her ability to delve into the complexities of human emotions, make her characters feel incredibly real. Through her writing, she invites readers to reflect on their own experiences and connect with the universal human condition.

歡迎收聽阿愷之聲Podcast特別單元「臺灣當代出版計畫」，第七集讀冊會作伙講冊的有秀水奕瑄和鹿港學姊，阮準備來讀 #李金蓮 2023年九歌出版的短篇小說集《#暗路》，這本小說內底寫了七段寂寞的人生故事，雖然苦澀，但是讀完會回甘。

「我敢有可能繼續寫作？」 這是工作幾落年了後的李金蓮問家己的問題，這位昔日的文學少年，後來有了家庭工作以後，文字漸漸仔變成一款討生活的工具。伊進前是中國時報「開卷周報」的主編，負責評論冊、選出年度好冊，影響幾落世代的臺灣讀者，但後來報社環境愈來愈歹，李金蓮決定離職，同時向國藝會提出寫作補助計劃，伊用五年時間完成頭一本長篇小說《浮水錄》（2016年），這本冊後來提著金鼎獎，對作者來講是足大的鼓勵，也叫醒伊的文學夢。

抱著可能是最後一本冊的屈勢（姿態），李金蓮決定繼續挑戰短篇小說，伊佇2023年完成這本《暗路》，對阿愷來講，李金蓮正港是寫短篇小說的高手，伊將對人性的觀察寫入去小說當中，雖然寫著生活中足細、足幼的故事，但李金蓮就是有法度寫出予人搥心肝的故事，咱會使佇這本小說看著家己的人生。
