A father was always busy, caught up in the never-ending demands of work. Each day, his young son would come up to him, eyes bright with excitement, tugging on his sleeve, asking, “Dad, can we play now?” But there was always a deadline, always an urgent email to send, always one more thing.

As the weeks passed, his son, though young, started to understand that his father’s work seemed to matter more than anything else.

Then, one evening, the father came home and, to his surprise, saw his son waiting for him, holding out a small piggy bank. “What’s this?” the father asked, raising an eyebrow.

With a hopeful smile, his son replied, “Dad, I’ve been saving up. I wanted to buy some of your time.”

The father felt a lump in his throat as he realized the impact his absence had left. It was then he understood that time, once lost, could never be earned back. He hugged his son tightly, vowing that from now on, he would find a way to make time for the most important thing in his life.
