✳️Flame is a region where combustion of fuel takes place to produce heat and light.
✳️ The colour of flame depends on the temperature, availability of air and the nature of substance burning.
Various zones of a candle flame
✳️ If we watch the flame of a burning candle we can observe the different zones of the candle flame.
It can be described as follows:
(a) Outermost zone- Complete Combustion- Appear blue in colour
(b) Middle zone- Partial Combustion- Appears yellow in colour
(c) Innermost zone- Unburnt wax- Appears black in colour

✳️ Few points to remember:
1) The outer zone is the hottest part of the flame (almost colorless)
2) Middle zone: Made luminous by glowing carbon particles
3) Inner zone: Little combustion because of lack of oxygen
