Stansted Raceway. FWD DIRT RODS. ALL HEATS. 22nd August 2021. Stock car. Banger racing.

We've been lucky with the sun in past weeks and the weather takes a turn and gifts us with some rain... well it does spice things up!!

Buckle up, put something in front of the kids and watch as these insane drivers risk life and limb trying to get to the chequered flag.

Heat 1 - The Honda Civic of Tom Brown is first to the bend and leads the pack. They all fly round the muddy track and seem to be really enjoying the muddy murky situation out there. Tom Brown is on a stonker as he quickly approaches the back makers and mingles with them. A tyre is so impressed it is standing up in plain view making the drivers steer clear of it but it's waiting to claim someone!

Heat 2 - Civics seem to be the thing for getting in front. The pack is getting their elbows out and some even indicate their intentions. 67 gets lost in the mud. Civic vs Civic. Dan loses his mascot and the carnage of cutting it up with wheels is like a bangers horror movie and it's insides get thrown all over the track, bank and further afield!!

Heat 3 - Sounding like bees in a hive the mass load of FWDs push hard at the start and into bend one. Lets see if 748 Tom Brown can make it 3 for 3 as he starts at the back. Bend two gets a couple. SallyAnne fighting through the pack.749 in first place. Tome Brown on the march after a couple of laps. 749 loses the top place to 158. Back markers causing issues. Not much argie bargy as the final laps come to a close but they have the peddle to the metal.

Final - Making allot of noise they push hard into the first bends and 929 takes the top spot. The dry line is a must but elbows out and SallyAnne is pushing her way through. Tom Brown started at the back has started to climb through the pack and is in 3rd only after a few laps. They seem to be on a mission as they push hard through the bends and 158 takes the lead. Between bend one and two you can see they are trying there best not to go out there as they don't want to be bogged down. Tom Brown is sniffing all over the leader and is pushing hard but will he be successful??
