This construction crane toy is actually a crawler crane. This is the kind of crane that can move around on its own tracks or crawlers at the job site. The crane is driven by the crane operator in the bottom crane vehicle and then the crane operator operators the crane from the crane arm cab or cockpit to raise and lower or swing the wrecking ball and pallet.

Crawler cranes move really slowly and so they can't be driven on the roads, they're also too tall. So when these construction cranes are moved to a different job site, they have to be dismantled and moved by tractor trailer truck, train or plane. They are very heavy construction machines.

A crawler crane can carry anywhere from 40 short tons to 3,500 short tons. A short ton is 2,000 pounds which is about 907 kilograms. That's like being able to carry almost 1,000 African male elephants at the top end! But cranes aren't used for carrying elephants, they're used for carrying heavy construction equipment and building materials to higher levels when building office towers or apartment blocks.
