PZL-Mielec An-2 engine start, full engine test and take off from Farkashegy

This PZL-Mielec An-2 started to operate in Hungary in 1996. She was mainly used for spraying and mosquito control flights.
Nowadays it operates from around the country for the same tasks.

The Antonov An-2 is a Soviet mass-produced single-engine biplaneutility agricultural aircraft designed and manufactured by the Antonov Design Bureau since 1946. Later Poland and China got the manufacture of the tipe, and made brand new An-2s until 2004.

Nowadays in Hungary most of the Antonov An-2 planes operates for the goverment as contractors to do mosquito control flights around the country.
Farkashegy is one of the biggest mosquito control base around Budapest.

The Antonov’s engine is has 1000 horse power which you can extremely feel when you are standing close.




Ez a PZL-Mielec An-2 1996-ban került hazánkba. Főként permetezésre és szúnyogirtásra használták.
Manapság magántulajdonban van és országszerte dolgozik hasonló feladatkörökben.

Az Antonov An-2 egy szovjet tömeggyártott, egymotoros, kétfedelű repülőgép. A típus tervezését és egy darabig a gépek gyártását az Antonov tervezőiroda végezte, de a gyártás később átkerült Lengyelországba és Kínába. Több mint 18.000 darab készült belőle 2004-ig tartozó gyártása alatt.

Manapság állami feladattá vált a szúnyogirtás. A kormány kisebb cégeket bízott meg a feladattal, akik országszerte bázisrepülőtereket alakítottak ki. Budapest és környéke fő szúnyogirtó bázisrepülőtere Farkashegy.

Az An-2 1000 lóerős motorja maximum fordulaton elképesztő hangerővel bír, az ember alig tud megállni mellette! :)
