X3: TERRAN CONFLICT, THE PC/macOS/LINUX GAME
X3: Terran Conflict is a space trading and combat simulator PC video game. The single player game is played from a first-person perspective. The management decisions are taken by means of menus and in-game lists. The main gameplay premises are “Trade, Fight, Build and Think”.

The game is the fifth title of the renowned X series. It is set in the X-Universe where different alien races and minor factions populate a multitude of worlds connected by jumpgates. The game functions like a grand sandbox in space. Players are free to play as they wish: piloting a small fighter in dog fights, becoming a self-made billionaire tycoon overseeing grand industrial complexes in space or commanding grand fleets to conquer the universe is all possible.

What sets the X series apart from other games is that players can obtain and fly literally all spaceships they encounter. The X universe is dynamic and features a shifting and evolving economy.

Multiple plot lines and randomly generated missions provide grand opportunities to make money - or lose everything you have built. Trade, Fight, Build and Think!

X3 Terran Conflict was developed by German studio Egosoft and published by Deep Silver in 2008.

X3: TERRAN CONFLICT, THE BACKGROUND
It is the year 2938. After hundreds of years of isolation the Terrans are once again connected to the jumpgate system. Citizens of the Commonwealth are called upon to help the Terrans adap to the new situation. While the races of the X universe are wary of the people who had unleashed the terraforming plague called the Xenon upon the galaxy the Terrans themselves have become xenophobic and distrustful. It is up to us to make our name and help them – or exploit the situation and the advanced Terran technology.

X3: TERRAN CONFLICT, THIS LET'S PLAY
In this Let's Play X3: Terran Conflict we will see lots of uncut commented gameplay and a complete playthrough. We start as a bankrupt assassin, arguably the toughest difficulty as half the races hate us and bounty hunters are on our tail. We will see incredible images of space and our fair share of space action. We will also build industrial complexes and see where that leads us. I plan to play all plots available.

The Let's Play functions as a walkthrough. Your comments on ways to accomplish goals and missions are especially welcome so the community may profit.

X3: TERRAN CONFLICT AGE RESTRICTION
The game is not age restricted (12+) and suitable for all mature enough to grasp the game's concepts. Only mild violence (blowing up starships) can be witnessed. My comments will remain civil.

My callsign is Hardball, PlayingHardball. I’ve always loved gaming. I am passionate about games as forms of art and ways of exploring narratives in interactive ways. I have been playing video games nearly all my life, on the internet for a few years now. I enjoy a great variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (like Mass Effect, Disco Elysium, The Witcher, etc), strategy/tactical games (like XCOM, Panzercorps, Total War etc), and RPGs (like Baldur's Gate, Pathfinder etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!
