On September 23, 2014, the Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law, the William P. Clements Center for History, Strategy and Statecraft, and the LBJ Presidential Library welcomed Ambassador Jack Matlock, Jr., who shared his perspectives on the relationship between Russia and the West 25 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Matlock was the Ambassador to the Soviet Union from 1987-1991.

Library Director Mark Updegrove provided welcoming remarks, and Strauss Center Distinguished Scholar Dr. Zoltan Barany introduced the Ambassador.
