In this episode, I sat with Tim Williams, the founder of SC Playbook and a cult figure in the NRL Supercoach world. Tim started as a journalist at the Daily Telegraph but turned his love for sports into a full-time career. Tim grew up in Cooma, a small town at the foot of the snowy mountains in NSW, and for Tim and his brothers, sport was life. While he always dreamed of following in his brother Sam's footsteps and becoming a professional athlete, Tim quickly realised he was better at talking about sports than playing them. After years of working at the Daily Telegraph, where he covered everything from NRL games to cricket matches, Tim saw how huge fantasy sports were becoming. He decided to leave his job and start SC Playbook, a platform for fantasy sports fans to get the best tips and advice.
